LinkedIn hook generator FAQ
Everything people ask before their first generation — how many hooks you get, which tones exist, what happens to your work logs, and what Pro adds.
Using the generator
How many hooks do I get per generation, and can I regenerate?
Every generation writes 5 hooks from one work log, each in a different viral framework. Not happy with the batch? Run the same log again for a fresh set of angles — for free users, that spends one of the day's generations.
Which tones and writing styles can I choose from?
Pick a tone — founder, corporate, or solo professional — and the generator writes across five frameworks: Thought Leader, Storyteller, Honest Reckoning, Data-Backed Listicle and Contrarian. See them in action on the hook examples page.
Does LinkedHook support languages other than English?
Not yet. The ghostwriter prompt is tuned for English LinkedIn posts, where the frameworks and truncation-fold behaviour are best understood. Non-English support may come later.
Output & LinkedIn
Will LinkedIn penalize posts that start with AI-written hooks?
The hook is a draft opening, not a finished post — you review, edit and add your own story before publishing, which is exactly how LinkedIn asks AI-assisted content to be treated. Because your hooks are grounded in your real work log, they read as your voice, not generic AI output.
Can I use the hooks for client work or a company page?
Yes. You own the output: use the hooks for your personal brand, a company page, or client content. Always give the draft a human pass before it goes out under anyone's name.
Your data
What happens to the work summaries I paste in?
Signed-in users: summaries and generated hooks are stored in your private history archive so you can revisit them. They're sent over an encrypted connection to our AI provider solely to generate the response. Full details are in the privacy policy.
Who can see my work logs and generated hooks?
Only you. Your history is tied to your account and never shown to other users; anonymous generations are tied to a one-way hashed identifier instead of your IP address.
Can I delete my generation history?
Yes — deleting your account permanently removes your profile and entire generation history. Until then, everything stays available in your private history archive.
Plans & limits
What is the difference between the free plan and Pro?
Free gives you 3 generations a day and shows ads. Pro removes the daily cap, hides all ads, and keeps your history archive. Prices and billing details are on the pricing page.
